Policy JO- Employment of Students
Local, state and federal laws regulate the employment of all young people under 18 years of age. Any minor 14 or 15 years of age who wishes to work on school days during school hours first shall secure a school release permit.
In compliance with law, the superintendent or designee shall issue age certificates for students under age 18 upon the request of any employer or prospective employer. The superintendent or his designee shall be responsible for issuing school release permits for students age 14 or 15 to work on school days during school hours, as required by law.
